The annual Distillers Edition, a limited release from Diageo, showcases select single malt Scotch whiskies from its portfolio. Each edition undergoes a secondary maturation in a chosen cask type. For this expression from Oban, Montilla fino fortified wine casks are utilized. The whisky, distilled in 2007, was bottled in 2021 at 86 proof.

Aromas of seaside, apricot, pineapple, and salt. The palate has apricot, peaches, and salt with a subtle smokiness. The finish is brief and thin, with light smoke, salt, and a hint of peach.
Maple syrup and a sharp aroma. Maple syrup flavors come through on the palate with a mild burn. Faint smoke and vanilla.
