Navy Island Rum - Navy Strength

The nose suggests papaya, melon, and no ethanol. However, the palate disappoints, failing to deliver on the initial promise. The alcohol is not well-integrated, making it taste stronger than its stated proof. Adding a bit of water helps to mellow it. It has a decent amount of funk.

A very serious drink. I tasted it properly after a few months. A worthy rum, with dominant notes of leather, tobacco, caramel, and alcohol.
