Have you heard of Myken? This tiny island in the Norwegian Sea, home to just 12 residents, also hosts the world's first Arctic whisky distillery! This young malt, partially aged in small 50-liter Hungarian oak barrels, presents a nose that is both fruity and spicy, with a yeasty character. Gooseberries, mango, and vanilla mingle with juniper, grains, and a hint of sawdust. On the palate, a sharp, briny hit from virgin oak takes center stage, complementing a lively and youthful flavor profile. Notes of Greek yogurt, white pepper, and unripe pears follow.
