Moon Import Lawless, Laphroaig 99%

My first from Moon Import, the well-known and legendary Italian Independent Bottler, was this "Lawless" Expression, made from 99% Laphroaig and 1% a Highland Malt. This was bottle 140 out of only 384 produced. The nose was wonderful. Damp earth, rubber, socks, chocolate, gooseberries, wet ashes. Mint, it also gave me the aroma of a sauna. Moss, kelp. On the palate it was delicious, a perfect score. Gooseberries, vanilla, lime, and a burst of salt. Very oily. Aftertaste gave me some crazy antiseptic notes, dentist's office, aniseed, and leather. Overall, this one was amazing, a full peaty experience. I don't know why Moon Import used 1% of a highland malt for this, but it doesn't matter. My score for it is 95 out of 100.
