Everything harmonizes, reminding one of a Christmas cookie, full of life and spice. The taste is rich and somewhat dry, with a great chewiness that reveals intense spice backed by charred oak. Vanilla and cooked brown sugar wash over the mouth, coating it with flavor. There's a distinct dryness at the end of the sip, almost astringent, but more like a sign it was bottled just in time before it declined. The depth of flavor is incredible, coming together as one – a specific mustiness reminiscent of vintage bourbon.
