Nose: Dried fruit like raisins and sultanas, citrus, and a bit of wood. Smells like furniture polish! Palate: A very strong sherry influence, fruity, with orange peel, bitter dark chocolate, and nutty/woody notes. Finish: Abundant dried fruit, cocoa/mocha, dark chocolate. A sourness on the aftertaste. A well-balanced spirit where the underlying character of the malt is apparent despite the significant PX cask influence. Marketed as a Christmas edition, which is fitting given the dried fruit and Christmas cake flavors.
