Amazing whisky! Incredible. The aroma brings peat, citrus peel, and wood. On the palate, find cocoa, vanilla, spice, and the familiar smoke of a campfire. An ideal blend of whisky from Islay and the Highlands. If you dislike Islay whiskies, this might not suit you, but it's remarkably silky and has made me a massive proponent of Cambelltown whisky. An excellent representation of light peat, smoke, and all the sweet, floral notes characteristic of a milder expression. Vanilla and citrus are supported by a smoky sweetness that lingers. I would appreciate a bit more oiliness on the palate for a richer mouthfeel. However, the nose and overall progression are exceptional, making this a superb dram worth seeking out.
I detect an ashtray aroma with some sweetness. It's definitely smoky; I can't quite describe it, but it's a very well-balanced dram. It has a pleasant sweet peat finish. Very nice and smooth. I love it, and I would buy it if I could find it.
A hint of licorice. Smoke and peat are present on the periphery. Full-bodied with a pleasant finish.
Very easy to drink. You can really taste the sherry cask influence.
