Longrow 11 Year Port Cask Authentic Collection (Cadenhead's)

I'm quite fond of this one... it's elegantly rough. Thanks to a friend for the sample. It's Friday night, and I'm sifting through my samples, contemplating my weekly dram. This one slipped from my grasp, hit the floor hard, and broke the cap. Who am I to deny Dionysus when he so clearly directs my path? As a devoted fan of Talisker and Springbank, I naturally extend that enthusiasm to their related spirits. Allow this to breathe with some air and a bit of water, and you'll be greeted by an amazing aroma. The nose is all cherry vanilla ice cream. The taste, unfortunately, is a step or two below the aroma: almost gritty and fruity. A lingering warmth remains in the finish. If you appreciate Springbank, you'll likely enjoy this.
