Lochlea Distillery is a well-known Scottish distillery in the beautiful Ayrshire countryside. This is their first Cask Strength release and the first in a series of yearly limited editions. Each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without added water, like sampling directly from the warehouse! Master Blender John Campbell and his team at Lochlea have selected a mix of 1st Fill Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks for this batch, and each year will show further evolution of their whisky. This offers a genuine, undiluted, and unfiltered look at Lochlea whisky. This bottling is presented with its natural color, without chill filtration, and is bottled at 60.1% ABV.

Antonia Snow 4.3

The nose has a buttercream aroma overlaid with fresh fruits. It's thick and warming. Offers dry pineapple and apricots, with notes of tangerine rind and candied ginger. The finish is extended. Adding water reveals a touch of youthful character but it remains excellent. Future batches are anticipated to be outstanding.
