Lenore Vega 4.5

Nose: A distinct note of exotic fruit stands out, like ripe pineapple, lychee, and mango. Sweet, warm honey is also present. Beneath it all lies a nutty foundation that's hard to pin down, perhaps roasted hazelnuts with marzipan, which is quite characteristic of the distillery. A truly remarkable aroma. Palate: Rich and full-bodied, likely enhanced by the alcohol content. Thick honey and those delightful exotic fruit notes from the nose reappear, now joined by a delicate hint of pear. A slight nuttiness is also detected. Finish: The honey's presence persists, and the pineapple gradually transforms into herbal and floral notes. It has a long duration. Overall: Undoubtedly the finest among the standard offerings from the distillery available locally. It exhibits solid bourbon aging, sufficient to mellow any bitterness and impart that lovely dry yet sweet honey character. This is combined with a distinctive spirit, resulting in an intriguing and delicious whiskey – truly excellent. I rate it 4.5.

Savanna Taylor 4.0

Crème Brûlée, Fresh Pear, Passion Fruit, Toasted Coconut. It's not overly intricate but offers a pleasant combination of flavors and a wonderful mouthfeel. A highly drinkable whisky for spring or summer!
