Appearance: A pale, transparent bronze with golden edges. Aroma: Cold-pressed coffee with a faint hint of vanilla. Flavor and Texture: This liquor immediately presents a solid coffee flavor. It's sweet but not overly thick or syrupy, suggesting moderate sugar content. The texture is pleasant, neither heavy nor lingering. The sweetness persists without bitterness in the aftertaste, a result of more than just sugar. It's straightforward, without added vanilla or spices, essentially a palatable coffee extract in a subtle liqueur base. It's well-made. This is somewhat similar to Meukow Xpresso, a cognac-based coffee liqueur notable for its discernible brandy spirit base rather than neutral grain alcohol. Similarly, the base of Licor 43 can be detected at the back, adding a pleasant complexity. While I've encountered more intensely flavored coffee liqueurs (like Mr Black from Sydney), this drink possesses a subtle and relaxed quality that is very enjoyable. We obtained it as part of a tasting event and haven't seen it locally. Mrs and I found it enjoyable neat, over ice, mixed with milk, and with cream. It's also excellent over ice cream as a dessert topping. My preferred way to use it so far is an equal measure with Liquor 43 Orochata over crushed ice. Rating: Above Average: 82/100 (3.25 stars)
