About this bottle

Distilled in 2006 on the Isle of Mull at the Tobermory Distillery, this Gordon & MacPhail release is part of the Ledaig peated single malt line. The whisky spent 12 years maturing in a first-fill sherry hogshead before being bottled in 2019 at a cask strength of 58.2% ABV. With a limited production of only 324 bottles, it was part of the independent bottler's Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength collection released in spring 2019.

Beatrice Barba 4.8

Delicious and difficult to obtain. A bartender suggested it for a cask strength whisky. You wouldn't guess it's cask strength if tasted blind; it's wonderfully disguised on the palate. The aroma leaps from the glass. Enjoyably peaty, earthy, with a hint of medicine in the background.

Miranda Godwin 4.3

Smoky with a trace of caramel.
