Laws Straight Bourbon Finished in Ruby Port Casks (Experimental Barrel)

Rye, finished in sauternes. Awful. How could anyone have selected this? It tastes of gasoline, harsh wood, decaying fruit, and mold. Disgusting, why am I still drinking this?

The nose is very sweet, smelling of figs and sweet bread. The palate is also sweet with a subtle lingering spice. The color is very dark.

The port barrel imparts a rich, sweet flavor, bringing notes of fig and nutmeg. Truly wonderful.

Sharp and zesty, with a dominant barrel flavor. It's a bit too intense for my taste, but it's better with a little water added.
