An amazing, unique whisky, not for everyone, specifically crafted for seasoned whisky enthusiasts. Its bold characteristics make it challenging to review simply. Bottled at 43% ABV with a polished mahogany hue. The aroma is potent, powerful, wild, and intense. Notes of peat, smoked ham, water balloons, olives, balsamic vinegar, and phenols are prominent. Superb. The palate begins with a bubblegum note, transitioning to oranges, citrus, and pleasant spice. It's thick with a long, lovely spicy, mouth-watering finish, featuring notes of ash and campfire. Overall, a score of 96 out of 100, highly recommended. Cheers.

You might not expect much variation between editions, yet this one presents a much more subdued aroma. The taste is still impressive. This particular edition is best enjoyed with a meal, unlike other distillers editions that suit a campfire setting. Lagavulin remains a reliable choice.

This reminds me of a sequel that's good but doesn't quite reach the same level as the original. The issue: too much of one character.

Gregorio Crow 4.5

More mellow and less assertive than other distillers editions I've experienced. A genuine pleasure to drink.

Madelynn Willoughby 4.5

Fantastic! It's my favorite. A gentle aroma with a powerful peat impact, yet smooth! Cheers!

Kieran Ponce 4.5

A reliable Lagavulin. Tasty.
