Moshe Bowen 3.3

This is one of those beverages where you know it's extremely affordable, you're aware superior options exist, yet you find yourself liking it. Korbel was my introduction to brandy, sparking my interest in exploring further. Now, with broader knowledge of eaux de vie, I still keep a bottle of Korbel. Perhaps it's nostalgia or appreciation, but it's also a decent brandy for its cost. It's well-balanced, slightly tart like an underripe cherry, complemented by ample oak and grape. A very pleasant oaky finish, akin to sipping directly from the cask. Minimal burn, very drinkable, and suitable for cocktails like a Vieux Carré without using expensive cognacs. It's not for everyone, especially those with refined palates, but if you're new to brandy, hesitant to spend a lot on premium options, and seeking something accessible, consider Korbel.

Pronounced caramel notes. It's slightly disagreeable initially, but after a few sips, the flavors become more appealing.
