Maudie Navarrete 4.0

Smells like peanut shells, lemon zest, and raspberry jam. Tastes of cream cheese, vanilla icing, and barrel spice. The finish is medium with notes of cinnamon buns and a bit of nutmeg. The mouthfeel is rich and it's a very enjoyable pour. The extra three years of aging compared to the 12-year expression are apparent and bring more complexity, but the higher price is tough to justify.

Kaleigh Garrison 3.5

Tasted alongside the 12-year. The nose is delightful with chocolate, caramel, vanilla, oak, and underlying cinnamon. The palate reflects much of the nose. The finish is the only drawback, being short and having an antiseptic quality. While the 12-year is better value, this is still a highly enjoyable bourbon.

Hana Frye 4.0

Strong oak and dark chocolate. It's surprisingly well-balanced considering its time in the barrel. Sadly, it lacks depth and is rather uninspired.
