First and foremost, it is baijiu. It contains a lot of sorghum. These are tastes that require significant acquired preference. That being said, I appreciate baijiu due to my upbringing with it. With that in mind, once you get past the solvent-like aroma, the nose opens to cocoa, Asian pear, and very ripe papaya. The taste features more chocolate and less fruit with a sweet, mesquite-like smoke. It ultimately finishes like dried longan. A rather enjoyable baijiu, in my opinion.
