I found this distinctive bottling at Westmoreland Liquor. It's an 8-year-old single cask, aged in former Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, then finished for a year in a Ruby Port cask. Cask Number 245/2012 Nose: Abundant red fruits, reminiscent of strawberry jam and raspberry. Hints of orange citrus and raisin are present, alongside notes of bacon, smoked meat, and rubber. Palate: Flavors of strawberry, cherry, orange spice, caramel, BBQ, iodine, smoke, and pepper. Finish: Further citrus notes emerge, like lime and orange spice, mingling with strawberry and raisin. Iodine, pepper, tobacco, and smoke are also detected. I'm quite fond of this one! While it doesn't present as heavily peated as typical Kilchoman, it still registers at 50ppm. The flavors are robust and highly pleasing!
