The aroma offers sugar cookies, gentle peat smoke, and slightly tart tropical fruits, progressing to grilled figs, seaside minerality, and fresh pipe tobacco. This is followed by chocolate-covered blueberries, raspberries, and lemon zest, transitioning to subtle baking spices and light coffee with a moderate alcohol sting. The palate presents a medium to full body, beginning with smooth tropical fruits that shift to barbecued fish with mild black pepper. It continues with dark chocolate-covered espresso beans, faint seaside minerality, and toasted coconut, then grilled figs, cherries jubilee, and lemon zest, leading to subtle baking spices and a moderate alcohol sting. The finish is extended, commencing with smoked fish and light black pepper, fading into grilled tropical fruits and figs in the background, accompanied by a mildly spiced mocha. In summary, this is an excellent and skillfully crafted dram, presenting a superb harmony of sweet, smoky, and slightly tart notes with mild spices. While the palate and finish are just a touch more sour than I prefer, it remains a phenomenal dram that any admirer of Kilchoman or Islay whiskies would likely appreciate. Gratitude to a friend for the generous sample and the chance to experience this Feis Ile release.

Delicate crisp barley notes rest atop a smoky base, with a faint hint of struck match. It has a velvety smooth texture in the mouth, featuring citrus fruits and a robust presence of peat. The finish is subtly sweet, devoid of any bitterness. While I find Kilchoman bottlings can vary significantly, this is among the most delightful I've encountered. I regret not purchasing a bottle.

Aroma: Sugary pomegranate and vanilla; honey mixed with cream. Taste: Honey with cream, orange, and peat smoke; sweet potatoes with cinnamon and black pepper. Aftertaste: Extended, sweet honey spread with cream. Peat and wood notes are wonderfully complex. Conclusion: Fantastic whiskey!
