Justin Plummer 4.3

Nose: Smells like burning tires, an oak tree, bubbly cola with vanilla, citrusy cherry and lemon, and a whisper of bourbon barrel. Palate: Tastes of lemon custard, lemon cake, caramel, vanilla, dried flowers, stewed apples, dry earth, smoke-tinged flowers, floral chocolate, and black licorice, with a clear bourbon note emerging when breathing in. Finish: Citrusy and bitter, with dried herbs, oak, and menthol cigarette smoke, plus cherry-vanilla cola. It's quite pleasant, but lacks the intensity for top scores. It feels a little too indistinct at times, and the bourbon presence seems more imagined than real. This is more about unmet expectations than a quality flaw, though it's a reasonable critique. Overall, a solid drink, not the best from the distillery, but I enjoyed it and am eager for their future barrel experiments.

Nose: Gentle peat, a hint of caramel, smooth Palate: A stark contrast with fiery spice, tartness, sweet caramel Finish: Honeyed, brief, mellow

Jamari Mcmullen 2.5

Smoky and peaty. It's light with a bit of sweetness and a lingering spice on the tongue. It's acceptable, but not something I'd actively search for.

Bernard Martino 2.0

Goes towards tar rather than smoke - not preferred

Macie Braswell 4.0

Quite sweet. A satisfying pour.
