Nose: Smells of strawberry, fig, turf, oak, and a little peat. Palate: Tastes of stewed strawberry, walnuts, caramel, and malt. Finish: A long, sweet peaty finish. Adding water brings out more diverse berry notes like fig and raspberry, strengthens the oak, introduces some leather, and softens the peat on the finish, which remains savory and long.
