Lots of smoke and peat. As it opens up, the peat recedes and it smells calm, with a hint of pear and cinnamon. After about 30 minutes of being open, it does become quite unique. On the palate, smoke is present and strong, but so is a lot of cinnamon. I do detect a hint of pear and, of course, malt. Ends oaky, much more bourbon and oak than sherry - I can't really detect the sherry. The aftertaste disappears faster than most from Islay. Very salty on the aftertaste with just a touch of orange and camphor.

The aroma presents lovely smoke and brine notes with a whisper of vanilla. Curiously, caramel and spice define the palate, with the smoke being hardly detectable. However, the smoke returns powerfully and dominates the finish, lingering substantially after the taste concludes.
Wonderful peat on the smell with a hint of sweetness in tones of vanilla and caramel. The taste is initially spicy and briny, but the smoke takes center stage in the aftertaste.
Vanilla, somewhat sweet. Potent but enjoyable, it smooths out with each sip, leaving a creamy sensation in the mouth with salty smokiness evident in the finish.
An oaky, slightly saline finish. Notes of cinnamon and pear. A few drops of water improve it by taming the peat smoke.
Smoky, akin to mezcal, with sweet grain and a distinct copper character
