Kavalan Solist Madeira Cask

This cask pick from the whisky sifu is excellent. It's simultaneously dark and rich, yet also bright and bold. It's packed with flavors of berries, bubble gum, cherries, honey, raisins, figs, chocolate, and tropical fruit. The taste profile aligns with the pink label. Smell: Strawberries, Honey, Bubble Gum, Lavender, Caramel, Melons, Figs, Raspberries, Milk Chocolate, Pineapples, Coconuts, Maple Syrup, Morello Cherries, Apricots, Almonds, Brown Sugar, Guava, Peaches Taste: White Chocolate, Luxardo Cherries, Honey, Prunes, Grapefruit, Roses, Ginger, Lavender, Sultanas, Milk Chocolate, Raisins, Blueberries Aftertaste: Raspberries, Honey, Toffee, Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Guava, Sultanas, Figs, Strawberries, Bananas, Treacle

NOSE: Exotic fruits, papaya, subtle spices, caramelized sugar, dusty, marshmallow. MOUTH: Incredible texture, robust cinnamon, caramel, pineapple, plum preserves. FINAL: Dry, enduring, fruity... a very fine drink, but not among my preferred selections. Perhaps my expectations were too high.
