About this bottle

Kavalan Bordeaux Margaux is one of two whiskies from Taiwanese producer Kavalan commemorating the tenth anniversary of their initial whisky release. It was matured in First Growth Bordeaux wine casks originating from France's Margaux region and has an ABV of 57.8%. The whisky comes in a 1000ml gift box that includes two Glencairn glasses, and production was limited to 3,000 units.

Kavalan King Car Group 40th Anniversary Bottle 56.3% (1.5L, 1 million KRW) Nose: Sherried, closed off before aeration. Taste: Sweet and sour grapes, sherry spice. Finish: Smooth, very light, and long-lasting tobacco aroma. After adding water: Nose: Sour berries. Taste: Sherry bomb, numbing from the high proof (still difficult to hold in mouth). Finish: Subtle oak, long spiciness, transitioning from light tobacco to wine tannins, gradually softening.
