An absolutely spectacular rum! I enjoyed it neat, like a single malt scotch. It needs nothing else, not even ice or water—too good to mix. It smells wonderful, sweet with a touch of maple and charred oak barrel, and juicy ripe berries. The palate is delicate, lightly sweet and slightly spicy, with some fruitiness from the Cognac influence. It has a velvety texture in the mouth and a nice medium finish of gentle wood and molasses. It was reasonably priced and came in an attractive wooden box. It would make an excellent gift for a rum enthusiast.

A light rum from Panama, made using traditional methods perfected in the Caribbean and aged in ex-Bourbon casks in the tropical Panamanian climate, then finished in Cognac casks in France. It starts aromatically with notes of sugarcane, wood, herbs, and spices; its rich development adds notes of vanilla and butterscotch, leading to a delicate and nutty finish. October 2017 / July 2025.

Leans sweet, much like a Venezuelan rum. Abundant smoke is present, with a rich flavor mingled with some vanilla and pronounced caramel. It's quite good, though not outstanding. The finish is decent, featuring a couple of conflicting flavors. The caramel with artificial sweetness is a slight drawback, but the drink remains sippable. The other flavors are quite good. There's a pleasant hint of cherry.

Remarkable. An excellent rum all around. The nose is pleasing, with a touch of funk, while the palate delivers classic molasses notes and a good amount of spice on the finish. An incredibly strong contender for sipping. I'm very satisfied with this selection.

It has a dark and unconventional character. Notes of bittersweet dark chocolate, molasses, toasted oak, caramel, vanilla, and baking spices are present. It finishes a little dry. It's like an improvement on Havana Club 7 Year. You can't get it in Ontario.

Somewhat sweet with notes of sugarcane and hints of brandy. Enjoyable neat, but not significantly diminished if used in a cocktail.
