This travel exclusive, which I'd never encountered before, was sampled at one of my tasting events. The homeowner provided a dram. To reveal: it is magnificent. With 40% abv, the aroma has dry cake, sherry with peat, caramel, and icing sugar. Amazing. The taste is very "island-like": spicy herbal, meat, strong salt, and ashes. The finish is salty and gingery. In sum, this is an excellent dram, scoring 95 out of 100. If you come across it, get some.
