Okay... to start, I'm evaluating this based on its merits as a flavored whiskey, not just as a whiskey. I'm also giving it bonus points for the enjoyment it seemed to bring our guests. In other words... it was a hit. One person is a big TikTok fan and constantly texts me cocktail ideas from various sources. Some are excellent (ask me about what I called "Jobsite Margaritas" before your next summer barbecue and thank me later) and some just leave me scratching my head. Regardless, she got it in her head that our company would enjoy Peanut Butter Cup drinks. We went to the store for Skrewball, and I mentioned to the ABC Clerk that I wasn't a big fan. He told us about this local product that he preferred. He was right. It has less cloying sweetness and more whiskey flavor than Skrewball. I got out the cocktail shaker when the guests arrived and started experimenting with ratios of Peanut Butter Whiskey to Chocolate Creme Liqueur. Now, while I don't go for overly sweet cocktails, I was impressed with how they turned out. This got my creative juices flowing. I asked my companion to start a pan of extra crispy bacon while I ran back to the ABC for some Banana Liqueur for a cocktail I dubbed "The Elvis." I entertained, mixed cocktails, sipped Maker's 46, opened Christmas gifts, and generally enjoyed watching everyone have a great time. It all served to remind me that there is a place and time for flavored whiskey. Thanks to the creator for helping provide that reminder.
