Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Voyage 12 is the twelfth release in their Very Small Batch Straight Bourbon series. After initial maturation, barrels are aged further on a ship traversing diverse climates. This specific voyage commenced in Savannah, GA, in January 2017, sailed through the South and North Pacific, down the US west coast, concluding in Baltimore, MD, in May 2017. It is bottled at 90 proof.

I'm not detecting the expected hint of ocean salt. It's a bit more layered than a certain small batch bottling, but I'm uncertain if the complexity comes solely from wood or the maritime aging. There's a presence there, and it's slightly superior.
Floral/fruity aroma, tastes of butterscotch and green apple. Enjoyable, but not worth the price. A friend gave me the bottle some time ago.
Sweet tea, tobacco, vinegar and a little burn. Pretty tasty.
Pleasant oak aroma; very pure, smooth, and oaky.
