Wonderful! Although it's 33% alcohol compared to the standard's 35%, this one surpasses it in every aspect. It's less viscous than the regular version. It has just a touch less herbal character. It contains ginger, but it's quality ginger, so it delivers a hint of delicious spice, just as you'd expect from genuine ginger. It's affordable, delicious, and can be enjoyed regularly with a bit of creativity. The ideal drink to make with this is the Berlin Mule: 1) Chill a glass and fill it with ice (use a mule mug or pint glass depending on your preference). 2) Squeeze half a lime over the ice, then add a shot (mule glass) or nearly two shots (pint) of this spirit. 3) Top with a quality ginger beer (such as Gosling's, Q, Crabbie's, Barritts, etc.). 4) Gently stir in the glass and garnish with a small piece of lime inside the glass. Adding a drop of grenadine at the very end is optional, but it might help some of your guests who prefer less tartness or sourness to enjoy what I consider to be the finest mule I've ever had. Yes, the best. Even if you were to frost a copper mug and use Tito's vodka with Q ginger beer, I would likely still prefer this. The Jägermeister Scharf provides a Berlin Mule with something a Moscow Mule lacks. I can't go back. Jägermeister is excellent in numerous cocktails. Look on YouTube for the surfer on acid variation, as well as the 'Jägeroni' (negroni) and 'Jägerita' (margarita), which are also very popular. I can personally confirm the Jägerita is delicious. It's like everything that was wrong with Jägermeister has been refined in the best ways. Get some!

Spicy! As the cartoon characters might say. I typically purchase a bottle of Jagermeister for seasonal enjoyment, but I am undecided whether that season should be Summer or Winter. In any event, this ginger-infused variation is clearly intended for Winter, according to the maker. The aroma carries the same essence of cola as the original, with added cinnamon bark. The palate initially presents some sweetness, but is immediately followed by intense ginger heat, and then the earthiness from that root mixed with other botanicals. Then, it's the same as the original. This is Jagermeister with a gimmick, designed to be superior to Fireball whiskey. It achieves this.

My tasting notes: I felt restrained and forced to lick month-old, white dog droppings that tasted better.

Less potent than the usual one. Sweet and thick. Still has noticeable herbal notes.
