Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey

Rating: 11/23 Jack Daniel's sweet banana with honey added? This sounds like it should be a disaster. Nose: Green banana, some honey that could have been watered down grade A maple syrup, a hint of lemon, and a sharp, light, bitter, herbalness that's almost grassy. A dash of dry wood as well. Unfortunately, also some plain alcohol. Palate: This is surprisingly OK! The sweet honey actually makes the regular Jack Daniel's sweet banana more acceptable. A bit of just sugar water, but not too much. There's this sweet dessert cocktail sense to this liqueur. I'm also getting a bit of spices with dry wood, which helps to cover the alcohol. There's oddly a bit of a grassy herbal character leading into a bit of peppermintiness. I really didn't see that coming. I actually kind of like it. The more I drink, the more out of whack this palate seems, but it's never bad. Finish: The sweetness largely fads, leaving the bitter side of the honey with the grassy herbal mintiness and hint of spice. Sort of a manuka honey now, actually. It's weird, but I kind of like this finish. - Conclusion - I thought this would be terrible, but it's actually not bad. If there were just less of that alcohol flavor, this might get a fairly high rating. As it is, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this if I thought of a good cocktail to use it in. As a sipper, I'd definitely prefer Garrison Brothers Honeydew, though the gap between the two is surprisingly minimal (and the Garrison Brothers actually is a bourbon). In my limited attempting here, I couldn't find a cocktail that I thought improved upon its core spirit using this liqueur, so I think I need to land on this being an 11 based on its neat flavor. I could imagine a 12. Still, I was surprised by how good this was. Thanks for sharing this!

Prominent honey flavors, substantial body, and a caramel finish, though it feels rather "young" overall. It's not inherently "bad," but I'd say it's not a whiskey best enjoyed on its own, particularly given its cost. However, I've discovered it's fantastic when mixed into any drink calling for whiskey or bourbon with honey, or when caramel notes are desired. Its best use, I've found, is in my salted honey whiskey salted caramel recipe. It's always a success when people can detect the whiskey and honey notes on the finish. Adding it near the end to the molten sugar appears to eliminate any harsh volatile tastes and actually enhances the result. Review #18 - Liqueur #4 Aroma - offers a gentle, pleasing scent, with honey and vanilla being prominent, and a subtle bourbon character in the background. Taste - it's very smooth, with a rather substantial flavor, sweetness from the honey, accompanied by a faint nutty hint. Clearly, it's a straightforward whiskey liqueur that's easy to drink, but the richness is somewhat unexpected. Finish - brief to medium in length with a somewhat oily feel. It's smooth and accessible for novices, however, it's not something I personally enjoy drinking.

Some may call this claim false, but I'm a sucker for anything sweet. I love eating honey straight from the container. If you do the same, you might enjoy this. Tastes like a direct combination of honey and liquor. Not even a hint of honey undertone. Just honey. I was pleasantly surprised. Precisely what I was hoping for. Bought several bottles and it's been a favorite I've shared with friends and ordered shots at bars. Probably my usual choice at this point. You can call me unoriginal. It's inexpensive and sweet!

A sweet liqueur, quite interesting, with the presence of Jack Daniels being notable, it doesn't justify the price above 120 reais, difficult. But anyway, we know that Jack also relies on marketing, and it's a medium, but tasty whisky.

I sampled this for the first time with ice. Its sweetness and smooth character were surprising. It might be too sweet and it lacked the intensity of JD whiskey. A respectable and tasty whiskey for mixed drinks.
