Nose: (3.25) Smells of cinnamon sweets, marshmallows, and some citrus. Also detected some creamed corn and ethanol. The nose had some enjoyable flavors but felt a little unfocused. Palate (3.75): Initially, it presents a classic bourbon scent of vanilla and toffee. Pepper emerges on the back of the palate. The palate was intriguing. The flavors were well-developed and more coherent than the nose. I was happily surprised. Finish (3.5): It had a finish more akin to scotch. Noted some hay, lighter citrus notes, and smoke. Overall: This bottle was a unique release exclusively intended for a barrel pick at Chicago's Palmer House. It mistakenly ended up at my local Binny's, so I had to get it. I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard this Wisconsin distillery can be inconsistent, particularly with their younger spirits. I'd say this one wasn't necessarily a standout for me, but it certainly met expectations. It had pleasant flavors, but the composition felt somewhat disorganized at times. If it were an orchestra of flavors, each musician would excel individually, but collectively, they occasionally played out of sync. With some adjustments, it could produce beautiful music.

Ehhhh, I'd spend $20 on it. It's nothing special. The tour guide was VERY arrogant. They ruined the experience for me.
My first bottle from this producer that I did not enjoy. It's just too harsh, even for cask strength.
