Technically, this diluted Invergordon is not whisky, but who cares when the dram in the glass is amazing? The aroma develops with Mon Chéri sweets, old furniture, and marzipan, enhanced by rosemary, marjoram, and cocoa powder. What a fantastic nose! Light as a feather yet full of flavor, the palate continues with complex wood spices, coconut cream, and a hint of menthol. Licorice, dark chocolate, and baked banana linger in the aromatic finish. A superb grain spirit, 56 years of aging has elevated this impressive spirit to another level. RATING: 4.5/5.0 stars ≙ 91 pts → SUPERB
