About this bottle
iichiko Special Shochu is produced from 100% two-row barley and fermented with koji. This barley (mugi) shochu is classified as honkaku shochu, the highest grade, which permits only one ingredient and single distillation. This shochu is aged for 5 to 7 years in both American white oak casks and sherry casks. It will be available at select US retailers beginning in March 2024 for a suggested retail price of $75.
