I didn't care for this the first time I sampled it. I detected a smoky note that didn't appeal to me. I'm glad I gave it another try. This might be my favorite aroma ever. The sherry cask finish is clearly evident. There's still a smoky note on the palate, but I'm learning to appreciate it. It resembles a very complete whiskey. Closer to a dry Japanese whiskey than a smoky, peaty Scotch. The finish is exactly what you'd anticipate. Slightly spicy neat, but I enjoy it.
