About this bottle
Hazelburn 10 Year Old Rundlets & Kilderkins 2003, from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, derives its name from the smaller barrels, measuring sixty and eighty liters, used for maturation. These casks, reminiscent of those used in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries for direct whisky sales, offer an increased surface-to-volume ratio, potentially accelerating the oak maturation process. This bottling marks the third and final release in the Rundlets & Kilderkins series, with each of Springbank's labels (Hazelburn, Springbank, and Longrow) having one edition. Like all Hazelburn malts, it is triple-distilled, unpeated, non-chill filtered, and bottled without added color at 50.1% ABV.
