Introduced in August 2016, this is the first consistent line extension for the Haig Club Single Grain. The single grain whisky matures in barrels that previously held bourbon and is intended for mixing. The name's origin is found in 1920s advertisements that promoted Haig as "The Clubman's Whisky."

Don't let the celebrity endorsements fool you; for a grain whisky, it's quite decent. It's light, pairs well with ice, and remains highly flavorful and distinct. I enjoyed it more than anticipated. (Comparison points: Teeling Irish Single Grain, Nikka Coffey Grain, Loch Lomond single grain)
I picked this up because my usual blend was unavailable. This caught my attention, and I decided to try it. I'm very impressed; there are strong alcoholic notes on the nose, but a mild vanilla taste on the palate. I use this for my whisky cocktails, primarily in an Old Fashioned, Sour, or Manhattan.
The Clubman is a whiskey specifically created for mixing with cola. Unfortunately, I discovered this fact only after buying it. It's very difficult to drink neat.
This drink has a lighter profile, resembling spiced rum more than whisky. Its advertising by a certain athlete is fitting, given its limited substance, comparable to his vocal delivery.
My inaugural whiskey experience was exceptional, and it continues to be. It will always be a reliable choice for me. Whether with ice or neat, it's fantastic.
