Brian Hampton 4.3

An intense hit of figs and cherries, with a subtle bitterness and a background wood note, leading to a very long, oily finish. It almost resembles blood orange marmalade as well. After reducing it to approximately 55% ABV and letting it rest for 10-15 minutes in the glass, the powerful fig flavor subsides, revealing a more ripe, juicy cherry and raisin note, reminiscent of Christmas cake. The oak character becomes less bitter and more agreeable at 55% ABV, and I'm also detecting notes of fresh leather and a creamy nuttiness, perhaps like fresh walnuts blended into butter.
