About this bottle
Dr. Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie's Head of Distilling and Whisky Creation, has spearheaded a significant shift in Scotch whisky production, with an increasing number of whiskies moving beyond aging solely in standard bourbon barrels. A notable creation by Lumsden is Sonnalta, meaning "Generous" in Gaelic. This expression is finished in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and was the inaugural release in the Private Edition Range. Initially launched in 2009 for Travel Retail, it soon became available globally, though it is now less common.

This was an experience! Tried it at a bar, not realizing how uncommon and costly it was. Tasting it blew my mind. Pretty cool for the whiskey scene, but tasting this will be my favorite memory for a long time!
The ultimate sherry scotch experience.
Delicious.
