The third bottling in the Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection, designated for travel retail, is this 15-year-old called "Vat 3." Its description as "Rich & Sweet" is, in my opinion, typically not a good sign. It's matured in perpetually replenished vats, a practice "Fiddich" has employed for years. Surprisingly bottled at 50.2% ABV. The aroma begins with spicy gooseberries and spicy pears. A spongy cake note is also present. Clearly pear. Not intensely aromatic. After some air, sweet milk and coffee emerge. Fruit salad. Dulce de leche with red apples. On the palate, classic Glenfiddich characteristics are present: Pear and apples. Some caramel sweetness. Following the initial taste, there are apples coated in dulce de leche. The finish was truly remarkable. An unexpected, potent spice bomb. Wasabi and chili. Very good. Overall, this Glenfiddich is better than average, primarily due to its outstanding finish. The other aspects align with the typical profile of any release from this distillery. I would happily drink this whisky, but I won't repurchase it, as it's also easily forgettable. My rating is 84 out of 100.

Very warming with cinnamon stewed fruits. Hints of tobacco and vanilla cream are present, along with a burst of sweetness like caramelized sugar. It has a fantastic spicy finish that softens over time. A very pleasant sipping whiskey that leaves a strong impression.
Fresh and stewed fruits on the palate. Sweet and very spicy on the finish, a massive pepper bomb. Very unusual for a Glenfiddich. High abv really comes through.
Spicy! A pleasant whisky with notes of caramel and strength, making for a robust experience.
