Glenfarclas 2009 (botteled 2016) (cask 1805) Drinks by the Dram Whisky

A rich, single cask Speyside malt was bottled at a robust natural cask strength, distilled in 2009, and bottled in August 2016. It begins aromatically with notes of brown sugar, damson, vine tomatoes, hot cross buns with dried fruit in the dough, a touch of fragrant barley & varnished oak; a rich middle adds notes of Christmas cake, honey-nut cereal with milk, ginger snaps, grilled banana, stroopwafel, raisins & currants; leading to a long & rich finish with notes of honey, ginger & apples.
