Founded in 1826 by James Allardice, The Glendronach, meaning "Valley of the Brambles" in Scotch Gaelic, is known for pairing its Highland spirit with Spanish sherry casks. This 15-year-old expression is one of three core single malt whiskies in the brand's lineup. The packaging was updated in 2024 to emphasize the brand's use of Spanish sherry casks for maturation, specifically oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks for this bottling. Available in the US from October 2024 at $105.99, it is bottled at 46% ABV.

Yup. It's that good. Way better than the 18 year and slightly edges out the cask strength batches, which are my favorite of the lineup. 18 was food but the finish disappeared too fast. 15 has the whole package. Nose, palate, and finish.
Quite enjoyable, with a very intricate flavor profile.
