It has been demonstrated. The unaged spirit from Glendronach is crucial to their amazing whiskies. This bottling differs from Glendronach's typical sherry-matured expressions. It was matured in bourbon and Tawny port casks, which aligns perfectly with Glendronach's character. Bottled at 46% ABV, it has a tawny color and was made exclusively for "The Professional Danish Whisky Retailers" (those with the Star Wars Glendronach Collection). The nose receives a perfect score: chocolate, oranges, hazelnut, milk powder, red fruits. It has a "dusty" feel, like cork, humidity, and Arabian sweets. After the first sip, it evoked wedding cake, chocolate cake, vanilla, grainy power bars, and marzipan. The palate is very buttery, with peanut butter, butterscotch, red fruits, and red cranberries. It's very wine-like, with pecans and fruity flavors. The aftertaste is quite complex and changes with every sip, featuring red fruits, chocolate powder, hazelnuts, hanuta, pepper, dim salt, and ginger. It also has prunes and a dry, medium-length finish. Overall, like most Glendronachs, this is a wonderful whisky. It's incredibly enjoyable and complex, feeling older than 10 years. Finding this expression can be a bit difficult, which is always a drawback. I rate this beauty a solid 96 out of 100.
