Glen Scotia 11 Year Sherry Double Cask Finish

Nose: Marshmallow, Salty Caramel, malty & copper notes, classical Campbeltown, and some acidic notes like lime, not citrus. Palate: Soft, Rich, wonderful sugar, farmy malt, again marshmallow is the keynote for me. Finish: Very soft for the abv, rich and mouthwatering, the flavors transform into some delicate spices that remind me of Christmas sugar cane. This dram is very well-priced and delicious.

Nose: A soft, discreet, oily, malty, sweet aroma. Reminiscent of slightly acidic apple. First sip: An explosion of spice. Salty. Palate: Oily and tastes like white rum, soft like a babbà. Too intricate for my preference. Finish: Similar to grapes.

Wow, this has a lot of spice. Bruised plum on the nose and a hint of rum. Rich mouthfeel, packed with spice and fruit, like a Christmas Pudding. The spice lingers, leaving a dry finish.

The aroma is intriguing, but it's overly spicy.
