Bottle has been open for two weeks. Aroma: sweet brown sugar with barrel char, medicinal cherry, oak, dark fruits. Taste: viscous Luxardo cherry coats the tongue and lingers, intensifying. Cherry cola appears mid-palate, with vanilla and oak on the back end, something like graham cracker as well, maybe marshmallow, very deep notes of a baking slice with some clove and cinnamon, so rich. The finish has more of the dark fruits and oak. 2024 GTS comparison Aroma: sweet caramel, vanilla, rye spice, confectioners sugar. Taste: very dry, raisin and fig, burnt brown sugar, molasses, spearmint on the back end with lingering oaky tannins. Not as complex as the 2025, but well-balanced, full-flavored, solid oak.

Another excellent release from the distillery, the barrel proof strength this year really elevated it. Appreciated the heat and balance in this one.
Flavors of cinnamon sugar pecans, cherry cordial, mint chocolate, and Earl Grey tea, with notes of blackberry. It wasn't as intense as anticipated.
