Haylee Barreto 1.0

George Ocean Spiced Rum tastes overwhelmingly of frosting. There are some caramel notes and a bit of spice, but no truly good flavors are present. The slightly lower alcohol content makes it less harsh than others, but it also tastes watered down. I wouldn't sip this and am struggling to find a good mixer for it. There's a bit of a paradox here, though. Licor 43 is extremely sweet, so if you drink some of that first, the complexity of George Ocean comes through. When that happens, a caramel sweetness is balanced by ginger spice, wood, and a hint of lemon. The flavor is rich and sweet with considerable depth, though not much variation over time. No frosting is present. Under these conditions, George Ocean becomes drinkable, even somewhat enjoyable. This is a repulsive combination of cloyingly sweet and strongly alcoholic. There's a little bit of flavor, but it's completely overpowered. Even if you're just looking to get drunk, you can find something better (like Cuervo Gold) for less money. That faint, imagined hint of caramel with some spices is nice, but otherwise, this is awful.

Ashly Ferrara 4.0

Prominent vanilla notes with a touch of cinnamon. The alcohol scent is somewhat sharp, but it's less noticeable in the flavor. Unbeatable for the cost!

Wiley Waggoner 3.5

Excellent for cocktails, offering a sweeter profile.

Cynthia Sapp 3.8
