Fortuna Bourbon, a Kentucky bourbon brand founded in the late 1800s and last bottled in the 1950s, has been revived by the creators of Rare Character Whiskey. The initial new bottles of Fortuna launched in 2022, aiming to replicate the bourbon's prime quality from the 1800s, complete with recreated labels and bottles. Produced in small, six-barrel batches, it is a blend of 6-year-old Kentucky straight bourbons bottled at 102 proof. It has been available for online purchase via Seelbach.com and KLWines.com since September 2022.

Well-balanced and complex. The initial taste is fantastic, like sugar cookies with caramel drizzled on top. Pleasant mouthfeel. The finish is adequate, but it's the least impressive aspect of this drink. A fun bottle overall, but for $85, I'd expect a more profound finish.
Nose: Caramel, sweet oak Palate: The caramel and oak persist before giving way to baking spices. Finish: Short to medium length but clean. A decent pour, showing promise but not particularly remarkable to me.
A great balance of spice and sweetness. Features spicy cinnamon and rich melted caramel with oak. Drinks wonderfully at 102 proof served over ice.
