Ayden Fraley 4.3

I will revisit this, but initially, it's right up my alley. A port finish on excellent peated malt? I'm unsure of the origin, but it's successful. It appears to incorporate multiple peat sources since it's not very salty but lacks the sweetness of Orkney. There's clearly some Campbelltown funk present. Bottled at a substantial alcohol content, non-chill filtered, and without added coloring. I'm delighted. If anyone has sampled this or knows the source, please share in the comments. I've searched online and found limited information about the bottler or this particular whisky. Based on the label, I suspect it's a single malt from one distillery with a small addition of something else, but I can't identify it. Speculation is welcome! Update: It seems to be a small amount of Ledaig in port casks. The mystery is solved. I'm still enjoying it, especially the alcohol content. Update #2: I just opened the Ledaig 10, and this is unmistakably it. I also enjoy the Ledaig 10, but I still prefer this peatside expression slightly more because the port imparts a unique finish compared to the 10. However, the 10 is available at a much more accessible price.
