About this bottle

Fettercairn's Warehouse Collection pays tribute to the maturation sites of the distillery's malt whisky. The whisky included in this expression was distilled in 2010 and aged in unseasoned casks, sherry seasoned butts from Vasyma, sherry barrels from Tevasa, ex-bourbon barrels, and port pipes. This inaugural release in the series is limited to 3,600 bottles.

Lela Spence 3.5

Appearance: amber hue, moderate viscosity. Smell: honey, vanilla, caramel, banana, pears, green apples, damp wood. Taste: a quick spicy start, feels oily, medium-full body, medium richness, like seltzer water, honey, vanilla, caramel, banana, pears, green apples, rubber, damp wood. Finish: brief to moderate length, a sweet and fruity seltzer aftertaste. Comments: Bourbon enthusiasts might really enjoy this. I was a bit let down after opening the bottle; I had hoped for something different or more complex given the aging across five cask types (American, European, sherry butts, sherry barrels, and port). Personally, I'm only detecting a strong bourbon influence, with no discernible notes from the sherry or port. I'll let it aerate for some time, hoping for a more interesting profile.

Donnell Randall 3.3

Aroma of creamy popcorn. Medium taste.

Micaela Lawrence 2.8

Tasty, long-lasting, a bit of coastline
