Edradour 2002 Ibisco Decanter

Smells like dark plum and black berry jam, with notes of apple cinnamon and maple, alongside a dark, sweet funk. Tastes thick, oily, and almost sticky. Features raisin, rich dark fruits like apricot, grape, and over-ripe strawberry, plus honey. As the fruit fades, it yields to a pleasant blend of oak char and clove spice. A distinct cinnamon and earth flavor emerges toward the end. Finishes with dark, sweet fig that transforms into a dry red wine note. Includes bitter grape, coats the tongue well, has a long finish with ripe red apple and oak tannin. A truly delicious Sherry bomb packed with fruit, spice, and all things delightful! My appreciation for Edradour remains strong, and this single cask certainly upheld that. A must-try or must-buy if you can locate it!

The alcohol was quite harsh and overwhelmed the whisky's flavor. Adding a few drops of water further diminished the flavor instead of enhancing it. A solid 3.
