AROMA - Pungent, reminiscent of bright pepper with cinnamon and vanilla. It also has some savory characteristics typical of certain barrel-proof bourbons. Additionally, there are notes of bright apple and pear. TASTE - Spicy on the palate. Abundant pepper, jalapeño, and cinnamon. Vanilla and oak notes are also present. FINISH - Milder than the taste, but similar in profile.
Aroma: caramel, damp oak. A subtle hint of aged dark fruit is present. Body: substantial, immense Taste: caramel, dark fruit, and sweetness Finish: lengthy, a powerful Kentucky embrace Note: A sample from a friend. Wow, this is excellent.
The aroma features toasted almond, charred caramel, and raw vanilla, followed by a taste of toasted banana nut bread, raw vanilla, and sweet caramel. The finish is long with charred caramel and vanilla barrel notes.
Nose: a touch of heat, peppery wood. Taste: a bit of wood and paper, certainly drinks below its proof. Spicy vanilla, light orange/cherry. Spicy vanilla, hotter ending.
Not the best BP batch, but I believe it's better than some people are saying.
Pleasant and flavorful. It's potent, yet it goes down easily with a lingering warmth.
